Drugstore Delight: Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream

Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream

Another quick Drugstore Delight spotlight to close out my product reviews for the year! Truth be told, this pandemic funk + thinking about work + staying home all the time + not wearing makeup = not a lot of mental bandwidth left to think about beauty. Instead of testing lots of things, in the past couple of months I've switched up my skincare once, tried a new-to-me body butter...and used up two tubes of Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream ($23 at London Drugs). The fact that I haven't deviated from it for months on end should tell you how good it is.

Hero ingredients include hyaluronic acid, green tea, vitamins A, C, and E, and Pycnogenol, an antioxidant meant to reduce puffiness around the eyes. But there are other skin-loving ingredients as well: glycerin, cetyl alcohol, aloe, jojoba seed oil, provitamin B5, just to name a few.

The result? An affordable natural eye cream that works just as well, and has just as lovely a texture, as eye creams that cost twice as much. I use it night and day. It's light and non-greasy, but goes on with such a lovely glide that I can't help doing a few massaging motions around my brow bone and under-eye area whenever I apply it. It doesn't sting my sensitive eyes or cause puffiness or watering, and it's not so slippy-slidey or greasy that I keep inadvertently blinking product into my eyes (all issues I've encountered with eye creams before). And best of all, it delivers long-lasting hydration. The two tubes I've used so far are both PR samples, but I'll definitely be repurchasing this.

    1. Interesting! I've never tried it as a lip mask (currently using the Laneige one for that), but this is a good travel hack to help minimize the number of products in luggage. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Wow, this skincare product sounds amazing with so many beneficial ingredients for our skin! I'm particularly interested in the Hyaluronic Acid and Pycnogenol ingredients for their anti-aging properties. It's great to see a range of nourishing ingredients like vitamins, antioxidants, and essential oils that can help improve the overall health of our skin. I'm definitely adding this product to my skincare routine!
