Lately our tiny condo bathroom has taken on a spa-like ambiance thanks to two new body care finds (both PR samples) which have landed on my beauty blogging desk. Together they've elevated a small space with their spa-like scents, stylish packaging, and all-natural formulations. Oh, and did I mention they're local brands?
MIFA and Co Eucalyptus Coco Body Wash ($32) scores style points right off the bat with its minimalist bottle and bold black typeface, which would look just as nice in the shower as it would on a bathroom or kitchen counter. What's inside the bottle is pretty impressive too: The gel formula is cruelty-free and contains no sulfates, parabens, phthalates, or artificial fragrance, and it forms a rich lather that leaves skin feeling soft, not stripped. Its scent (a well-balanced blend of eucalyptus, lavender, geranium, and peppermint essential oils) is at once invigorating and soothing, making this a suitable body wash option for AM or PM. I've really been enjoying how this body wash has made my entire morning shower experience feel more luxe, delivering a lovely cleansing experience and a hit of aromatherapy that wakes up my tired self. Talk about starting the day off on the right note!
Like the MIFA and Co body wash, Woodlot Recharge Rosemary + Mint Lotion ($22) boasts a beautiful bottle and a fragrance that's just the right blend of refreshing and calming. Water, cocoa seed butter and sunflower seed, olive, and coconut oils combine to form a body lotion that goes on lightweight and liquid-y. In the hot summer months when most creamy body lotions felt too heavy or sticky, I applied this as a thin veil of product. Then when temperatures dropped and my skin started feeling drier, I doubled the amount I was using for longer lasting benefits. Every time I apply, I inhale deeply and enjoy the scent and the moment. This lotion is truly a pleasure for all the senses.

I love the texture of that Woodlot lotion but I don't like peppermint in skincare, so I've just been using that as a foot cream ahaha. I want to try their rose scented one!
ReplyDeleteIt's very refreshing as a foot cream but not too peppermint-y!
