This empties post is long overdue! And considering we're still in the depths of winter and a cold snap here in Vancouver, the fact that it's full of hydrating and moisturizing skin and body care goodies should come as no surprise. Let's get to it, shall we?
Herbal Essences Replenish White Charcoal Conditioner (previously featured here)
Quick notes: Pleasant lightweight conditioner best paired with a clarifying shampoo. It was good while it lasted and it's good for what it is, but I think on the whole I prefer something more moisturizing.
Would I repurchase? Probably not.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water ($19.90 at London Drugs, previously featured here)
Quick notes: Pretty much my forever Holy Grail micellar water. Love that it doesn't aggravate sensitive skin and it's fragrance- and paraben-free, and it removes makeup super easily.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
Crabtree & Evelyn Avocado, Olive & Basil Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy ($11 at London Drugs, previously featured here)
Quick notes: Still my all-time fave Crabtree & Evelyn hand lotion scent, clean and unisex. Non-greasy and absorbs quickly. Hubs is a fan.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
Rocky Mountain Soap Company Wellness Spray in Just Breathe ($18)
Quick notes: While the spray itself was pleasant enough, the oils in the formula clogged up the nozzle and I had trouble spritzing over time, even with the straw touching the bottom of the bottle and plenty of liquid left inside.
Would I repurchase? No.
Rocky Mountain Soap Company Limited Edition Vanilla Candy Cane Body Wash
Quick notes: Only available once a year during the holiday season! The vanilla candy cane scent is sweet and scrumptious without being cloying and the all-natural body wash lathers well. Seriously, stock up when you can.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
Body Shop Amazonian Saviour Multipurpose Balm ($12, previously featured here)
Quick notes: Affordable, natural and travel-friendly solid balm. Over time though, having to dip my fingers into a solid product started to annoy me; it just wasn't as convenient as an all-over moisturizer in pump bottle, squeeze tube or twist-up stick form.
Would I repurchase? No.
Tonymoly Master Lab Intensive Moisturizing Ceramide Moisture Care Sheet Mask ($4, previously featured here)
Quick notes: SO GOOD, so soothing and moisturizing and calming on winter-ravaged skin. In Vancouver, you can find Tonymoly Master Lab sheet masks at the Tonymoly store in Aberdeen Mall, Richmond.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
Nature Republic Rose Sheet Mask
Quick notes: Nice rose scent.
Would I repurchase? Maybe.
Aritaum Aloe Sheet Mask
Quick notes: Watery and refreshing essence meant to soothe skin after sun. Mildly hydrating for winter. The cut of the mask wasn't a great fit, but it was OK for the price (about $2 from what I remember?).
Would I repurchase? No.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence ($50, previously featured here)
Quick notes: Good to the last drop.
Would I repurchase? Already have!
Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream ($45, previously featured here)
Quick notes: I haven't returned to this particular Laneige moisturizer since first reviewing it 3-4 years ago. While I liked it the first time around, as I've aged my skin has gotten drier and nowadays I crave something heavier and richer.
Would I repurchase? Probably not.
Fresh Rose Face Mask ($75, previously featured here)
Quick notes: I've lost count of how many jars of this stuff I've gone through. It's another forever fave.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
Olay Regenerist Luminous Face Oil (previously featured here)
Quick notes: This product has been discontinued! When it first launched 3 years ago, affordable facial oils at drugstore prices were still relatively rare. Now we have The Ordinary, Trader Joe's, Pixi...This product was nice while it lasted, but I'm sure I'll be able to find a suitable replacement.
Would I repurchase? No (see above).
Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub ($42, previously featured here)
Quick notes: The only lip scrub I've ever used up! Convenient form factor and zero mess. I kept this by the door and would often swipe some on as a quick exfoliation before leaving the condo; once I was out and about, the sugar crystals would dissolve and the colour-adjusting pigments would make this wear like any other tinted lip balm.
Would I repurchase? Yes
Dior Lip Glow in 'Raspberry' ($42, previously featured here)
Quick notes: The cool magenta tone was sheer and just bright enough and oh so flattering. Easily the best Dior Lip Glow shade I've tried so far.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
