As you might've guessed from the winter wellness goals I shared a couple weeks ago, I'm all about self-care lately. This gift guide includes many of my tried-and-true personal faves, items that will let the recipients pamper themselves and hygge it up at home.
1. Hubs bought me the Ugg 'Duffield' robe 4-5 years ago as a Christmas gift at my request, and it is by far the best bathrobe I've ever owned. Unlike terry bathrobes which can be scratchy, heavy or a little see-through, this robe is made of the softest, warmest fleece that also happens to be lightweight and opaque. The fabric doesn't pill or thin, so even after all these years my robe still looks like new. The price is on the splurge-y side, but it's a robe you'll have for the rest of your life.
2. My favourite holiday candle is the Thymes Frasier Fir candles, hands down. Its fresh evergreen scent is so deliciously Christmas tree-like, perfect for burning while I have my fake tree up, ha! The giant Thymes Frasier Fir ceramic 3-wick candle ($64.99 at Welk's on Main) comes in a white-and-gold vessel that looks beautiful with any holiday decor, and the box it's packaged in is so lovely you won't even need to wrap it.
3. For at-home skincare routines, having one or two luxurious natural products can make things instantly feel more spa-like. I'm still enjoying the tingly, pore-clearing, pink clay magic of the Tata Harper Purifying Face Mask ($85), which I previously featured here. So good.
4. Just as the Ugg robe is the best bathrobe I've ever owned, PJ Salvage makes my all-time favourite flannel pyjamas. They feature cute prints and are made of the softest, coziest, THICKEST flannel ever. My cake PJs are 4 years now and they're not as thick as they used to be, but still holding up very well. If I were to upgrade my sleepwear this season though, I'd definitely opt for the PJ Salvage Starry Eyed flannel pyjama set.
5. The Triggerpoint Accucurve Cane ($19.99) seems like an odd gift choice on the surface, but if you know someone who constantly has tight shoulders as a result of workouts or sitting at a desk all day, trust me when I say this will be a godsend for them. This self-massage device curves up and over shoulder blades so you can target all those hard-to-reach acupressure points in your rotator cuff. Hubs bought this for himself in September, but I've been using it to supplement my foam-rolling in the evenings.
6. Yep, still enjoying the Skin Gym Rose Quartz Facial Roller ($28) I previously featured here! Such a pretty gift for the beauty lover in your life if they don't have one already.
7. Consider this your annual reminder to pick up the Rocky Mountain Soap Company Vanilla Candy Cane Gift Set ($46.95) for a green beauty lover, and one for yourself while you're at it! I've just cracked open the body wash and soap from last year's gift set and I'm really enjoying the hit of sugary pepperminty goodness it provides in the morning.
8. How cute is this coffee mug and wineglass set ($29.50) from Indigo? I've been thinking about it since I first saw it at Indigo's holiday preview this summer.
