WonderBra Canada x Spa Finder Giveaway

When the going gets tough, the modern girl heads for the spa. Evidently WonderBra Canada feels the same way, because they've collaborated with Spa Finder on a very special promotion happening from now until May 10th, and they're offering one lucky Solo Lisa reader the chance to win WonderBra lingerie and a $200 Spa Finder gift card. From now until May 10th, WonderBra is giving away a free $25 Spa Finder GC with the purchase of 2 bras. Genius, right?! It's a brilliant way to treat yourself to some new lingerie and replace your worn-out bras, all while scoring a deal on much needed pampering at the same time. To celebrate the exciting promotion, WonderBra invited me to experience the spa for myself while wearing the beautiful new sous-vêtements they generously sent me beforehand.

WonderBra's invitation couldn't have come at a better time. With everything going on in my life lately, I've been feeling tired and run down more easily and craving a relaxing day at the spa. This was how I found myself at the Willow Stream Spa in the Fairmont Pacific Rim, wiling away the rainy hours this past Monday.

My day started with a hydrating 60-minute Natural Facial, during which an aesthetician exfoliated my face with pineapple and papaya enzymes and granulated pearls, and then applied inky-black clay to deep-clean my pores of impurities. The facial was followed by a quick 20-minute K Lift Express treatment, during which micro-currents were applied to areas around my eyes and mouth to lift and firm. Finally, I had a 45-minute Reviving Manicure. The sheer pink shade I chose is perfect for spring—and subconsciously inspired by the delicate nude lace bra and panty set I was sporting, it seems.

Wearing lingerie during treatments was, admittedly, a new twist on the spa-going experience for me. But you know what? It was also kind of awesome. I felt so feminine, so luxurious, so much more pampered knowing that under my big fluffy spa robe I had on new, lacy, pretty underthings. I was chatting with a couple of other spa-goers about whether they would wear lingerie at the spa, and we agreed that while it wasn't something we'd normally do, it was a really fun idea for a mother-daughter spa day or a bridal shower.

I was so comfy in my silky-feeling nude bra and panty set I kept them on for all three treatments, although I think I was supposed to change into the other sets before each treatment. (Oops.) If molded cups and wires don't do it for you, WonderBra also makes soft-cup styles like this pretty blue lace number and wire-free styles like this cornflower-print one. Regardless of which style you choose though, the bras and panties are really pretty, and the quality level belies WonderBra's budget-friendly price tag.

The fit does vary between styles; of the assorted bras that were sent to me, I found that the nude molded cup and stretchy blue lace ones fit me best. The sizing also tends to run a little large (I normally wear a 32D but a 34C fit me just fine), so definitely try before you buy.

This was my first experience at the Willow Stream Spa, and I now understand why it gets such rave reviews. Not only are the services impeccable, the facilities are beautiful and the amenities oh so luxurious. Between treatments, guests can sip infused water and munch on fruit or complementary healthy trail mix in one of multiple lounges. Or they can enjoy the sweeping views of downtown Vancouver, Burrard Inlet, and the mountains from the outdoor terraces and Jacuzzi. Or they can take a steam in the infrared sauna before ordering up a beautifully presented—and healthy—lunch of sushi and fruit salad, as I did. Between the treatments and the amenities, it's no wonder I spent 6 hours at the Willow Stream Spa. When I left, it was as though I was walking on a cloud.
