Staples Canada #30SummerDays Photo Challenge & Giveaway

A sunny beach day here, a backyard barbecue there...if we don't pause to appreciate the finer moments, the dog days of summer are bound to slip by in a golden haze. One way of slowing down and commemorating small pleasures is sharing a photo a day, which is why I was so excited to participate in the Staples Canada #30SummerDays photo challenge. The challenge was simple: Staples would send me the Canon PowerShot S200 wifi-enabled point-and-shoot camera to try out, along with a calendar of daily themes to inspire my snap of the day for the month of June.

Fast forward 23 days, and I've done pretty well with the photo challenges! Whether I've been spending quality time with the boy or with friends, under grey skies or blue ones, or gorging on different types of food, I'd say this summer has been a fun one so far. The compact size and wifi capabilities of the Canon S200 make it a cinch to carry around and snap and share pics on the go.

Although I appreciate my normal camera and the instant gratification of smartphone photos, it's still nice to have an in-between alternative for those times when I can't be bothered to carry my big camera, and the phone just isn't cutting it.
