Latest Outfit: Hello Moto

The boy and I have been two ships passing in the night lately. His evenings are filled with dance practices, coursework for his certification program, and kickboxing; mine are occupied by events and blogging. Throw work, household chores, and a busy social life into the mix, and there isn't much time left for each other, I'm afraid.

With so much going on, the last thing I want to do is spend precious "us" time on weekends fussing over what to wear. This outfit came together in a matter of minutes, and I'm pretty sure the reason why it all works is because each piece is versatile enough to be a goes-with-anything wardrobe workhorse on its own. All I had to do was stuff my essentials (wallet, keys, phone, lipstick) in the moto jacket's roomy pockets, wrap the super-soft colour-blocked jersey scarf around my neck to ward off the chill, and off I went for a sunny Sunday full of quiet adventures with my man.

Details: grey-mauve nail polish, vampy lipstick, a sparkly bracelet, and gold stud earrings that look like shields.

    That jacket is really cute! I've been looking for a moto jacket, but I'm mostly finding jackets that are too decked out with zippers etc. I'll keep looking :-)

      Club Monaco usually has classically beautiful moto jackets. And even though this Zara version is from last year, I've spotted some variations on this silhouette: similar colours, hardware, lapels, etc. Worth checking out.

      Thanks, Jenn! Joe Fresh has this dress in stock right now (and in other colours).

      The blush I'm wearing is Diorblush Cheek Creme in 'Capri', which I think is a summer 2013 limited edition, sadly. But Dior just launched a new range of blushes last month.
