Rozemerie Cuevas, the designer behind the Vancouver-based label Jacqueline Conoir, has been creating chic suiting, smart separates and sensual dresses for 25 years now, always with a vision of the "Jaqueline Conoir woman" in mind: a sophisticated, bold, confident creature comfortable with her own femininity. Cuevas's spring/summer 2012 offerings--presented at the JC Studio runway show two weeks ago--were certainly true to Jacqueline Conoir's longstanding aesthetic. Her devoted clientele will surely be pleased with next season.
The show heralded the return of loose silhouettes, luxe fabrics and fun patterns. The standouts in the collection: knee-length day-to-night dresses in colourful prints or bold jewel tones; maxi dresses in heavy jersey and light patterned chiffon which exuded boho glam; suiting with unexpected peplum, pleating and seam details (sure to be popular with the boardroom crowd).
Congratulations on a great show!
Love how feminine and elegant everything looks.
