The Sweet Scent of September: Givenchy Ange ou Démon Le Secret Elixir

Press kits, lookbooks and beauty samples are slowly taking over my living space, which is why I've decided to share the wealth and host one fragrance giveaway a week for the rest of September. This is your chance to start the season (or the school year) off on the right foot with a sweet new scent! Every Monday I'll announce a new giveaway, and each Friday I'll announce a winner. Simple, no?

The first fragrance in 'The Sweet Scent of September' giveaway series is one of Givenchy's latest, the Ange ou Démon Le Secret Elixir eau de parfum intense. Billed as a "depply sensual floral white flowers fragrance," it features notes of Italian lemon, green tea, and neroli, as well as a mix of white flowers: Sambac jasmine, orange blossom, and frangipani flower. The flask--a pink-purple faceted pendant with hints of smoke and amethyst--would be a welcome addition to any dresser top.

Overall, Le Secret Elixir is light, pretty and pleasant without being cloying. It starts off fruity and floral, then fades to a lingering powdery vanilla/patchouli finish. In Canada, Le Secret is available exclusively at The Bay ($61-114 depending on the product).
