P!nk x COVERGIRL The Truth About Love Tour

Spontaneously going to the P!nk concert at Rogers Arena last night was just the thing for curing Monday night blahs. My tickets to The Truth About Love Tour came courtesy of concert sponsor COVERGIRL and P&G Beauty's #BeautyUnited program: twelfth row, floor, centre stage. Talk about an amazing opportunity!

Before I knew it, a coworker and I were leaving behind a typical day at the office for what turned out to be the funnest Monday night in ages. P!nk's show combined lights, acrobatics, dance, trapeze, and music into a dazzling stadium spectacle. I was actually surprised by how many songs we recognized and sang along to as old and new hits were performed. The show's bondage-meets-Moulin-Rouge motif and the high-flying stunts kept the audience rapt—that is, when they weren't applauding and singing along to every lyric.

Highlights included P!nk's cover of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" and a mash-up of her earlier hits "There You Go" and "You Make Me Sick." (Hello, high school flashbacks.) But the ultimate thrill was seeing what a natural performer she was, whether she was singing solo at a piano or strapped into a harness and arcing, flying, and diving toward her hundreds of devoted fans all over Rogers Arena. As we exited after the finale, my coworker and I couldn't help gushing over the stunning visuals and catchy songs, and sharing our memories of P!nk from our high school days.

  1. Wow, what a great night! I'm not a huge fan, but I'd see her in concert if tickets came my way.

    1. After the Vancouver performance, I found out she postponed the other concert dates until January because of inflamed vocal cords and laryngitis. We were lucky to have been able to see the show!

I'm not a big of a fan of her new music but if she sings oldies I'd definitely go and see her!
