Today's Outfit: The Shirtdress


Shirtdresses are a look I've admired for many months, but until I found this striped beauty at H&M I was convinced that this wasn't a look that would work for me. Happily for me, the straight cut and detailing (3/4 sleeves which can be rolled up, drawstring empire waist, small chest pockets) made what could have been a shapeless, figure-dwarfing garment into something vaguely figure-flattering. I paired the shirtdress with my new brogues in these photos, but as soon as I set foot outside I chickened out and opted for warm socks and boots instead. Despite the sunshine, it's still kind of chilly in Vancouver and I like my feet to be toasty! At least I kept the red lips throughout the day.
